Fasting Recipe: Stir Fried Potatoes

Ingredients –  (1 serving)

Boiled potatoes – 4 medium

Roasted and crushed peanuts –  2 tbsp

Desi ghee            –  1 tsp

Jeera                    – ¼ tsp

Green chillies      –  2

Black pepper powder – ¼ tsp

Lime juice                      –  1 tbsp

Coriander leaves        – 2 tbsp

Sendha namak  (rock salt) according  to taste.


  1. Roughly crumble boiled potatoes with your fingers into small pieces. Chop green chillies and coriander leaves,
  2. Heat desi ghee in the kadhai. Add jeera and when it crackles, add green chillies and sauté for a few seconds. Now add potatoes, peanuts, sendha namak and  black pepper powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes on a low flame. Switch off the gas and add lime juice and coriander leaves. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve the delicious potato stir-fry piping hot.
