Preparation
Grate outer brown part of dry coconut and chop it into small pieces, in a heavy bottom kadhai roast coconut pieces until warm.
Dry roast roasted chana dal until warm.
Dry roast sesame seeds till it starts to crackle.
Dry roast peanuts, cool it and remove the skin.
Dry roast cashew nuts, almonds and walnuts until warm and chop it into small pieces.
Cut jaggery into small pieces.
Preparation
Once all the roasted ingredients cool completely mix everything in a bowl. Karnataka style Ellu bella is ready to celebrate makar sankranti.
Notes
It's not necessary to remove brown part from dry coconut but, if you want, you can grate and remove it.
Increase or decrease the ingredients as per your choice.
