Method
Combine dry ingredients, wheat flour, semolina, cinnamon powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Sieve dry ingredients three times, so that everything combines properly.
In a bowl, take butter and sugar, whisk it until it is smooth and creamy.
Now add curd and orange juice and whisk it until it combines.
Now add dry ingredients and fold everything together, add milk as required and make a batter of dropping consistency. (I have used only 1 tbsp milk)
Now add mix fruit essence, coarse walnut powder.
Grate the apple and immediately combine it with cake batter.
Transfer the batter to a greased baking dish.
Tap the baking dish lightly so that batter spreads evenly.
While making cake batter preheat the oven with the low rack in it at 180-degree celsius.Once the oven is preheated place the baking dish on the lower rack.
Bake cake at 180° celsius for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, check the cake with the toothpick or fork, if it comes out clean the cake is ready. If it does not come out clear, bake it for five more minutes.
Once the cake is ready, take out the baking dish and let it cool for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes take out the cake from the container and let it cool on wire rack.
